The most powerful and, technically and socially advanced nation –America considers time and punctuality as valuable as their lives. Keeping up time is a duty for them and shirking from it is an uncivilized act. In their culture spending time with someone is a commitment they strive to fulfill. They also value other’s time as their own and they expect to be informed of any delay in someone’s arrival. People who do not keep up their time or do not respect other’s time are considered as liars and unreliable. Not showing up for a date is considered as extreme form rudeness.
